Background:

Kim was born and bred in the central Illinois town of Morton (population 13,400), a place that calls itself the "Pumpkin Capital of the World." At age 5, she was a contestant in the annual Pumpkin Princess Pageant. If you ask her about it, she'll tell you that the winner cheated.

An Early Talent:

She's always been a writer. At a young age, Kim had a prolific pencil for poetry and dubbed herself "The Fabulous Poet". Her poems made appearances in hard cover books, local newspapers and the grade school's bulletin boards.

Career Planning:

Kim's earliest career goal was to marry a farmer and raise all the animals. Later, she wanted to be an archaeologist so she could work in the dirt and dig up bones. After that, she wanted to be a famous actress. Finally at age 15, she decided that advertising was what she really wanted. Upon escaping from Morton, she ran to Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and in 1991 graduated with a Bachelor's degree in advertising.

Work Experience:

The first time Kim crossed the Iowa-Minnesota border was in fall 1991 to interview for a copywriting job in Minneapolis. A month later she moved here for good. During her successful career climb, she's been dedicated to the agency scene as a Copywriter as well as Creative Director.

What She Likes To Brag About:

Her hula-hooping skills. Her rose garden. Her days as a redhead. The time she replaced all the plumbing in a toilet, all by herself.

Passions:

Loves debating grammar, punctuation and sentence structure. Loves talking to and playing with kids. Loves volunteering at a Twin Cities hospital.
