Prior to joining Risdall McKinney Public Relations, Melissa worked for Weber Shandwick where she focused primarily on the Honeywell account, including the global process solutions business, aerospace, building solutions, consumer home products and security. Additional client work entailed crisis communications. She began her career as part of the corporate communications team for Mesaba Airlines, Inc., a regional airline affiliated with Northwest Airlines.
As a result of Melissa's involvement, American Spaceframe Fabricators International (ASFI) realized a 98 percent increase in sales leads from 2007 to 2008, and tripled store locator visits for the Awnings Today consumer awareness campaign, among others.
In addition to her role at Risdall McKinney Public Relations, Melissa volunteers for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation where she is leading a team tasked with developing a public relations plan to generate local visibility. Efforts are focused on raising money for the local branch of the foundation.
